The search for the swimmer still stands over
A search is still underway for a swimmer at a fishing grounds, but police received a report of a man in the sea shorter in five today. There is a great deal of response in the area because of the case.
This is stated by Ásmundur Rúnar Gylfason, assistant police officer with the police in the capital area. He did not have information on how long the man is believed to have been in the sea.
More divers on the way
Divers from the Special Forces were published at the request of the police in the capital area for the case. The Coast Guard helicopter also participates in the operations.
The Landsbjörg Accident Protection Company has also added a response in the area, but on the ground there are sea rescue categories, three lifeboats, the rescue ship Jóhannes Briem, as well as divers from the Suðurnes region are on the ground.
