The School Youth Song and Dance Celebration will bring about 37,550 participants / day this summer
The highest number of participants representing choir and folk dance industry. In 2025, 100%of the participants in the choir industry, 96%of the folk dance industry, 86%, folklore groups – 100%, the accordion ensembles – 100%. All collectives that have not been nominated for industry concerts are invited to perform at the central festival venue – at the Vermane Garden, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere and joy of the holiday throughout the week.
The most vulnerable cultural and historical region XIII Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Celebration will be Vidzeme with 681 collectives, 279 collectives from Kurzeme festival, 240 from Latgale, 165 from Zemgale, 52 from Selonia, 52. Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
Riga will be represented by 448 collectives, about 10,000 participants, and more than 1000 participants will participate in the Festival of Ogre, Valmiera, Bauska County, Cesis County, Jelgava, Tukums Municipality, Madona County and Liepaja. 30 945 members represent one collective, while 2,685 children and young people operate in several collectives.
The XIII Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Celebration will take place in the summer of 2025 from July 5 to July 13. During the festival, more than 30 events will take place in Riga at more than 15 venues – Mežaparks Great Stage, BTA Daugava Stadium, Xiaomi arenaInternational Exhibition Center in Kipsala, Daile Theater, VEF Culture Palace, Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum, Freedom Square, Vermane Garden and elsewhere.
