The Romanians challenged UEFA and were applauded by a whole room

On Tuesday, in Koszalin, Poland, the national national of Romania met the counterparts in Ukraine in the preliminaries of the EC.

The match would be won by Ukrainians with 3-1, but the tricolors obtained the qualification in the play-off. However, at this match, football passed on the second plane. The emotional event was carried out before the game, having a close connection with the tragedy spent last Sunday, in Flowers, in the Ukrainian locality.

Then, the Russian rockets hit the wicked, sowing death. 30 people, including children, died from this attack and at least one hundred people were admitted to the hospital with more or less serious injuries. It was the second major bombing of April, after the one from Krivoi ROG, in which 19 people lost their lives, of which nine children.

The Ukrainian delegation asked UEFA to keep a minute of silence in memory of victims in this attack, but the Nyon forum refused, reasoning that politics is not mixed with sport. Therefore, he asked the two teams not to put this moment into practice.

However, in agreement, both delegations have decided to challenge the UEFA decision. In the applause of those in the room, followed by tens of thousands of greeting messages on social networks, the Romanian team had a start, but the striker Darius Nastai kept the ball under the ice for a minute.

He and the « tricolors » colleagues, like everyone on the edge, Romanians and Ukrainians, plus the spectators in the stands, remained still, and the world got to their feet to commemorate those killed in the Sunday’s Șumi attack.
