The Romanian army to be prepared « for a certain situation ». Bolojan’s announcement
Interim president Ilie Bolojan said on Wednesday, after the CSAT meeting, that the law of national defense should be approved by the Parliament until the end of May, so that the Romanian Army is prepared « for a certain situation ».
The Supreme Council of Defense of the Country endorsed the draft law on the national defense of Romania on Wednesday.
« A second project on the agenda was the Law of National Defense of Romania, a draft law is part of the four laws that remained to be approved earlier this year, so that in the field of defense we have all the legislation brought to date and to be created the legal basis, so that the Romanian Army can carry out its preparations, Peace, to prepare for a certain situation, ”said Ilie Bolojan.
He expressed his hope that this law will be adopted by the Parliament by the end of May.
« Two of the laws have already been voted by the Parliament, were challenged at the Constitutional Court, but the appeal was rejected and, during May, will be promulgated, and the approval of this law allows its introduction into the parliamentary procedure and I hope, by the end of May, this law will be approved by the Romanian Parliament. In approval at the CSAT and then in the parliamentary procedure, hoping that in June all four laws will be promulgated and the entire package of laws, which, as I said, brings all the legislation in the field of defense and allows the Romanian Army to prepare properly, to be in force and these legislative aspects will be resolved ”.
Bolojan: Defense budget will increase steppassed
Bolojan announced on Wednesday that the Minister of National Defense, Angel Tîlvăvă, was mandated to assume on behalf of Romania the stepdaughter of the defense budget until 2030.
