The Robotics Student Pyroneers wrote a story
The Robotics Student « Pyroneers » wrote history, representing Greece for the first time in the First Robotics Competition (FRC), the leading and most demanding educational robotics competition in the world. The competition took place from March 7 to March 9, 2025 in Constantinople, gathering groups from countries such as China, India, Turkey, Switzerland.
The « Pyroneers », though emerging in this category, managed to distinguish themselves, winning one of the 6 major awards, creativity and innovation of the « Creativity Award » – Sponsored by Rockwell Automation.
Facing powerful groups from countries with a long tradition in Robotics, the Greek team attracted the positive comments of the judges. Their strategy has attracted the interest of the participants. The design, construction and planning of their robots were characterized by industrial quality and innovation.
The First Robotics Competition is an international competition that combines the excitement of sport with the rigor of science and technology. High school students, under the guidance of students, design, plan and build industrial robot to compete in a theme, promoting the estimate of STEM (science, technology, mechanics and mathematics) in their communities.
The historical success of the « Pyroneers » proves the dedication and talent of Greek students in the field of robotics and is a source of inspiration for the youth of our country. The achievement of their participation and the feat of their distinction in the most demanding competition highlights Greece’s worldwide map of educational robotics, technology, innovation.
