The results of the first Eurovision 2025 semi -final surprised more than one

Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Estonia, Portugal, Ukraine entered the final.

The results surprised many. For example, the bettors saw Belgium quite firmly in the finals, which did not cross the semi -final barrier. There is also a great surprise for both bettors and fans of the competition, the entry of Portugal and Iceland.

In addition to representatives of 15 countries in the semifinals, representatives of Spain, Italy and Switzerland also appeared. Since last year, representatives of the « Great Five » countries and the hostess of the country also appear in the semi -finals, despite the fact that they have an automatic location in the final. This aims to introduce viewers to all songs in advance and avoid some inequality, when one song is heard for the second time and others only for the first time, reports Eurodiena.lt.

The first semi -final did not go without impressive guests’ performances, including last year’s Lithuanian representative Silvester Belt. He and Ilanda, who represented Portugal last year, performed the song « No Partez Pas Sans Moi » by Jerry Heil, who brought 3rd place in Ukraine and Marina Satti. It was with this song Celine Dion that won the 1988 Eurovision.

Also, a real storm in the arena was caused by a comical show of the leaders, as if the Swiss stereotypes, such as a pocket knife, cheese or chocolate, were mocked. At the end of the show, we also saw Peter Med, a comedian loved by Eurovision fans, married to Eurovision 2013, 2016 and 2024.

Lithuanian representatives « Katarsis » with the song « Your Eyes » will appear in the second semi-final Thursday, number 8. The semi -finals start at 10 p.m. Lithuanian time.

The 2025 Eurovision final will take place this Saturday, May 17 at 22 pm Lithuanian time.
