The whole relics of the Holy Empress Elena, the mother of Saint Emperor Constantine the Great, arrived at the Pantocrator Monastery in Teleorman.

The holy odors were brought to Romania by the Romanian Air Force, with the help of a Spartan C-27J military plane, in an operation organized to the highest standards.

The event, organized with the blessing of the Romanian Orthodox Church, was also possible due to the efforts of Sorin Mierlea, President InfoCons Romania.

The believers are expected to come in large numbers from all over the country in the entire period as long as the relics are at the Pantocrator Monastery, until May 8.

‘Although the saint was initially buried in Rome, her holy relics were moved to Constantinople, and in 1211 they were taken to Venice by the Crusader Knights. Only in 2017, they were first taken out of pilgrimage, in Greece. Romania thus becomes the second Orthodox country that hosts the relics of Saint Empress Elena from moving to the West. The event takes place in the context of the annual pilgrimage organized at the Pantocrator Monastery on the occasion of the Sunday of Women Mironosițe ‘, announces Basilica.ro.
