« The release goes slowly, but it wins the growing human space »: How was hundreds of protests a week throughout Serbia? – Politics
Although blockades and protests have been in several months, an organized bunt of citizens is not expanding to an increasing number of cities, and according to the Center for Research, Transparency and Responsibility, at least 95 protests throughout Serbia. March.
In publication Line– It states that there was 31 protests from those 95 protests in Belgrade.
On that day, the protests were held in a large number of cities, but also in the large number of individual local communities in the form of choirs, who are increasingly frequent.
On the other hand, in Belgrade, there are several locations in the city, in various municipalities, there are also sets of citizens who « block » stands Serbian advanced parties.
While in Obrenovac, high school students, in Cacak citizens, in Citizens, in Nis citizens and students due to students, collections were in several places in Vojodina, all the way to protests in Subotica.
In addition, throughout the week, from 17. to 23. March, according to the same source, 261 protests and 35 choirs were held in at least 113 seats in Serbia.
Sociologist and the University Pension Professor in Pension Djokica Jovanovic says for today that, when it comes to a growing bunt of citizens, they must take two things into account.
« The first is the release of people. You know that people until yesterday, which is completely understandable and justified, so that release goes slowly, but as some light tide wins the growing human space, » Jovanovic points out.
On the other hand, additional motivation for an increasing organization of dissatisfied people Jovanović sees in the form of organization – choirs.
« Representative democracy not to declare himself to the individual, but this representative is unable to present an individual’s opinion, and in that sense, it is a part of the masses and it is in that sense, his voice does not mean anything, » our interlocutor explains.
On the other hand, he points out, a citizen in the choirs has a lot right to say, to be heard, and that the choir declares his proposal.
« It’s a very important individual, this is what is called an individual, personal identity that is stronger, respected, I live, it feels a subject. Someone wants something and someone wants to hear, » says Jovanovic.
In this, he sees the « Char of Democracy » and adds that it is not effective and fast, but that it should not be expected from democratic procedures because they are always more complicated.
« Even parliamentary democracy involves processes, time and less efficiency, but these are more important that a man feels respected as a citizen and as a human being, and that it gives him the opportunity to say what he has », emphasizes the interlocutor of Danas.
Subsequently, Jovanovic points out that people who have a sense of collective responsibility and want to check their suggestion can do it on the choirs.
« It matters to such people what he thinks of the collective and waves, it is an important factor, and it is more important that he is more important that he has been felt considered and seen by a group of people who care himself and is ready to discuss his proposals.
Speaking about the motivation of people to be organized in smaller environments at all, Jovanovic is considering the organization of public hearings, but it adds that they always organize some political authority, and that they are organized in order to cover this authority for their decision.
« In the choirs there is a wider basis, there is no writing here, but otherwise, it will be fingered, and it is known that it always has manipulations, while there is no manipulation, or it is not so easy, or at least it is harder to manipulate people.
