The rehabilitation of « Todi Dhamo » street, important investment for community

Elbasan Mayor Gledian Latja, along with Socialist Party MP elected on May 11 Aulona Bylykbashi, today inspected the completion of works on Todi Damo Street, one of the most problematic and completely informal areas of the city, built after the 1990s.
The area, known for the lack of infrastructure, is located near the Elbasan Poultry in region no. 2. So far, sewage has been intervened, and asphalt stratification has already been completed, giving another picture of the entire residential block.

The mayor, Gledian Latja, stressed that this investment was an early demand of residents of the area, as it includes about 250 flats and significantly improves the quality of living. « After the end of this road, we will continue to change all the lighting lines in the suburban neighborhoods, to unify and reduce energy consumption.
MP Aulona Bylykbashi praised Elbasan Municipality efforts to structure infrastructure in all neighborhoods, stressing that this neighborhood has already benefited from public investment. « Road infrastructure and sewerage are vital to improving the quality of life, but also to help the economic development of rural areas through facilitating transport, trade and agriculture, » she said.
« We have tried to be correct by investing in the same way in the village and in the city, » Latja concluded, ensuring that the municipality will continue its work to modernize all its territory.
These investments are part of the commitments made by the Mayor, income as a result of residents’ demands and participating budgeting, showing a model of local government close to the citizen.
