The Red Cross has paid over 147 million denars for the fire in Kocani

As part of the appeal to support the victims of the fire at the Pulse discotheque in Kocani, the Macedonian Red Cross collected a total of 153,931,166 denars from March 16 to June 16, 2025.

As reported by the Red Cross, today’s transfer, 156 people have been payed, and 11 more people will be transferred in the coming days.

-With the last transfer today on 17.06.2025, the funds were paid to 156 persons, divided into 5 categories, based on the assessment of the extent of the injuries and the forecast for their further treatment, by the working group of the Ministry of Health in the total amount of 39,750.000,00 denars. In the coming days, the transfer of funds and 11 more people will be transferred to provide the necessary documents, ie statements and consent to use personal data, as they are not covered by the payments so far. The total transfer of funds to the victims, as of 17.06.2025, is 147.199.101.00 denars – reads the statement from the Red Cross.

From there they announce the opening of a regional center for mental health and psychosocial support in Kocani, which will cover the needs of the population in the eastern part of the country.
