'They told us to buy the workouts for the exercise'

The students wrote a test consisting of two parts, with a short break. Tests start at 9am. The students came to schools an hour or half an hour earlier to prepare. In the days when the test is written, there should be no other tests.

The National Center for External Evaluation of Education said that 36,745 students should be addressed in fourth grades, and the exact number will be known after the implementation, refund and processing of test materials. This is the third year of implementation in all schools, and the only change is the extension of time to write Croatian from 60 to 70 minutes.

'We've been stressed for two weeks'

They are stressed because they finish elementary school, interrupt, conditionally, a relationship with childhood, that class. Not everyone is sure that the middle of the middle will enroll and now these national exams, which, mean more than being said. We fight every day that we will repeat the exam, which we will not, and where are the exams that are already enrolled in the e-Djednik for next week. They tell us that they think that this is not evaluated by students, but the work of their teachers, because they do not see meaning in writing huge tests. Writing national exams is a big organizational job, so some schools in the area of ​​Split, taught chaos from previous years, decided to organize classes for the Osmaša in the weeks when they write exams, to organize exclusively in the morning. Because of this, other classes of the subject teaching are all « disturbed ». The biggest problem is to agree on the schedule for teachers who often work and in three schools. Students, however, do not take the exams seriously at all, and some already know that they will hand over an empty exam because they are aware that the average of the test means nothing. There are also those who will try to do their best.

Teachers, however, seek to motivate students to do all the best they can. They warn of the problem, as they call it, lost time, because after a small graduation they follow Easter holidays, and then only two months of teaching during which students will have to warm up the chair well and repair grades and average that really mean something to them in high school.

Next week strike

In addition, two educational and one union of science and higher education for next week announce a strike that could be joined by about 30,000 of their members.

– If there is a strike, the National Center will do everything with school coordinators with school coordinators to conduct national exams, regardless of the case. If this is not possible in some schools, the goals of the implementation of national exams will be achieved in all elements except in the fact that those students who do not write national exams will be damaged because they will not receive feedback on which extent they adopted educational outcomes at the end of 4th or 8th grade, which is especially important to 8th grade students because they are the results of the national exams.

Principal Vinko Filipovic has previously explained that there is enough for the relevant information to participate in ten percent of schools. But he recalled, the goal of national exams is to get a realistic picture of students' knowledge, but also feedback to them about how they stand with knowledge.

Students and school will receive the results at the beginning of June.
