The socialist group of the Andalusian Parliament has focused on the president of the Account chamber, Manuel Alejandro Cardnete, for understanding that he is turning the external control body of the Junta de Andalucía, of the entire public sector and local entities, « in an instrument to cover up the acts of the government » and for « obstructing democratic control. » The socialists will defend their disapproval in the plenary session of next week, an initiative condemned to the failure given the absolute majority of the Popular Party, which is the one who proposed it as a member of the Chamber of Accounts.

The Socialists consider that Cardenete, Professor of Economy and former Counselor and former manager of the Andalusian Government of Coalition by Citizens in the first mandate of Juan Manuel Moreno (PP), is the “direct responsible” of the “paralysis and elimination” of an inspection file on the minor contracts formalized by various organizations of the Andalusian public sector during the years of 2022 and 2023.
