The production of combat vehicles was fully started. It brought new work to the backward region – SME
They want to attract young people.
Tisovec. Eight years ago, it seemed that the once famous Tisovo engineering engineer would end. After they were sent to the bottom of anti -Russian sanctions, they were in bankruptcy.
In one of the least developed regions in Slovakia, people lost their jobs, which they later began to look for in the west of the country, or beyond the borders.
Finally, however, the investor was found, who gave the once prosperous plant a second chance.
Despite the difficult time, marked by coronavirus pandemic, war in Ukraine And the loss of the Russian market, which the CSM factory has been most oriented since the time of the former regime, has managed to maintain Stupava financier Tomáš Maroš and his team in the hungry valley, even promisingly developing.
Military production will start in Tisovec, CSM with the Finns succeeded in megatendri Read
Thanks to good cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, foreign partners and armed forces of other countries, the engineering plant is moving forward.
They are expanding production, new jobs are being created, dual education works, even announcing other interesting news, beneficial for the city, which ranks among the fastest extinct self -governments in the country.
Finally, according to the official numbers of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, in 2013 Tisovec had 4 253 inhabitants. Ten years later, there were only 3632, which means a 14.60 % decline.
The unflattering demographic development was mainly due to the lack of interest of larger investors in the backward region. The functioning of CSM could help reverse this unfavorable trend.
The production of the belongs has already been fully started
In the plant, in which the current owner has invested nine million euros since 2017, the current job has about 150 people.
It is only thanks to the launch of the production of eight -wheeled combat vehicles include the AMV XP 8×8, under the contract of our defense department with the Finnish company Patria in 2022, approximately 40 new direct jobs were created in the plant. Subcontractors were also given the opportunity.
« The production of belongs is fully started since last September. Until then, we have been preparing spaces, technologies, producing some components that were carried to Finland, where our people went to work. In the first phase we should produce 76 vehicles, of which 12 were produced in Finland. was quantified by the owner of the CSM.
He stressed that this project is very important for the region, as the needs of the army is particularly considerable at these times.
« The added value of this product produced in Slovakia is really very high, especially in the context of the region, which is produced and also Slovak knowledge and skills. I believe this project will continue. »
In Tisovec they produce a whole complete combat vehicle without a weapon part. The assembly of the EVPU tower with cannon will be under the thumb in the State Zbrojka construct – Defense.
Complete patries should be taken over by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic until 2027. In CSM, they are currently in the production of the eighteenth piece of the hull, in the production hall they assemble the first seven of these combat vehicles. The first is already done.
« We consider this vehicle to be unique in the armed forces, some design elements are unique on the market. The new combat armored vehicles on the 8×8 platform will replace us with BVP-1 vehicles, which are hopelessly obsolete, » said the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic General Daniel Zmeko in September 2023.
They want to motivate young people
The arrival of Finnish technology in the city in the district, which has been struggling for years from the highest number of unemployed in Slovakia, has, in addition to production for the troops, another mission. Maroš ranks him among the priority.
« We are working with four secondary schools in dual education. Modern technology in our plant could make it more attractive to schoolchildren to study engineering fields. We want them not to leave for other regions, but to work at home.
He also outlined other forthcoming benefits to bring the restoration of other premises in a large racing area, where they recently reconstructed one of the halls. The production capacity and CSM innovation capabilities have thus increased significantly.
« We plan to direct further investments to the restoration of social equipment. Unused offices want to rebuild the offices. Lounge or fitness center will be created, » Maroš said, pointing out that women have the opportunity to succeed in CSM. « They are up to 50 percent in management, » he said.
Orientation to rescue units
There are no traditional UDS in the background, which are far from what they used to be. These are modern machines, equipped with the latest technique, suitable for the army and civil use, such as eliminating the consequences of natural disasters or war conflicts.
« We want to focus on the rescue units with humans, but with added value. Today they are more sophisticated machines, for example, the cabin has filter ventilation, also various reels, ballistic protection, various superstructures. Maroš summed up that they currently have a capacity booked for the next two years. These are approximately 50 UDS.
« We are trying to sell globally. As for the cooperation of non -military character, we work with the Czech Tatra, Italian Ivec, component production is running for other international partners in Germany, France or Sweden. »
Cooperation with the Defense Ministry bears fruit
In addition to the production of UDS and also include CSM, as a serious partner, it plans to involve other tenders of the Ministry of Defense.
“Almost all countries have business with UDSKA NATO. However, good references from our army are very important for us. Thanks to them we start supplying dozens of machines to the Polish army, « Tomáš said, and continued:
“Here I have to highlight excellent cooperation with the Defense Ministry and Minister Robert Kalinakwhich is trying to significantly support Slovak products within foreign business trips and thus promotes our human humanities. I will mention, for example, a recent exhibition Idex in Abu Dhabiwhich we participated in the Slovak stand of the Ministry of Defense and we. Thanks to his visit to Azerbaijan, we open the door to this and other countries, with which the ministry is bilaterally cooperating.
The Slovak army really helped us in difficult times. Now it is also thanks to the cooperation between the Slovak and Czech Defense Ministry and the Czech Army, where we plan to supply 13 pieces of state -of -the -art UDS this year. «
