The DHL postal company has reacted for the first time to the Albanian Diaspora Voting Operation for the May 11 elections. She has described it as a successful operation in 85 countries around the world, giving the figures. The CEC criticized the election of the company that appointed subcontractor, but the company announced today that « under the motto » Connecting People, Improving Lives « has successfully completed the operation and return of Albanian Diaspora votes to 85 countries » and according to the protocol of contractual conditions.
The company explains that 245704 shipments have been made and returned to CEC 201586 votes, with an 82%resume percentage. Whereas the shipments successfully submitted according to it are 227914 votes, or 92.76%. « DHL Albania, as part of the Global DHL network with more than 220 countries, carried out this complex project in a record deadline, guaranteeing the processing and submission of electoral materials with full accuracy, safety and transparency. For this purpose, a dedicated aircraft operated daily until the deadline set by CEC (19:00, 20).
It is also clarified that the process was monitored in real time by the Quality Control Center for Europe (QCC Europe) in Germany, headed directly by the Director of the Quality Control Center ensuring compliance with the highest standards. Regarding the difficulties or suspicions raised for the Diaspora votes, especially after the DP complaints, the company responded: “Great challenges-from time limit to geographical complexity and issues in available data-were overcome with professionalism, using technology and advanced DHL infrastructure. interest, financial or political ”.
For the contract, the company insists it was rigorously implemented, and even points out that it has received assessments from political observers. “DHL implemented the project by complying in full compliance with any contractual obligation with the CEC, implemented each protocol in processes and procedures for sending ballots to 85 countries and respecting in all these states safe distribution protocols in the relevant addresses. Regarding political claims after the counting process, while there are complaints to the CEC and KAS, DHL states: “Any insinuation for violating the integrity of this project in the world and Albania by anyone is inappropriate and unacceptable. by voters in time, supporting the democratic commitment of the Albanian community abroad ”.
The Director General of DHL Albania, Qirjako Koçollari said: « Planning, preparation of processes and procedures, preparing specific infrastructure only for this project, which included over 150 people who worked for it in Albania, was a proof of dedication and commitment to the Albanian team of DHL ».
