The Congressman himself did not report a visit to Ukraine and in recent days did not announce such plans. In a video published by Zelensky’s press service, he said he visited Kiev after a trip to Turkey and Poland.
Last month Fitzpatrick together with colleagues presented a project of a two -party resolutionwhich enshrines the US position on the non -recognition of the claims of the Russian Federation on the occupied sovereign Ukrainian territories.
He was also one of the few republican congressmen who publicly supported Zelensky after Donald Trump called him “dictator without elections”.
