The prime minister’s resignation is required because of his eyebrow
The decision of Prime Minister Ciolacu to name Dragoș eyebrow An emissary of his in addition to Donald Trump has already created something. But his statements throw Romanian politics in the air. One of them, the Prime Minister is not aligned with the interim president Ilie Bolojan and does not support the position of the European Union in support of Ukraine, is considered quite revolting by Elena Lasconi. This asks him Marcel Ciolacu to clarify the statements made by Dragoș Sprînceană and states that if the affirmations of the businessman represent the position of the executive, his resignation is « a necessity ».
« I ask Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to offer public clarifications regarding the statements made by Mr. Dragoș Sprînceană, his special envoy in the United States.
His statement made live at Digi24, according to which the prime minister is not aligned with the interim president Ilie Bolojan and does not support the position of the European Union in support of Ukraine, is extremely serious and requires an immediate reaction.
If this position reflects, indeed, the mandate sent by the prime minister, then we are dealing with a dangerous attempt to reposition Romania outside the Euro-Atlantic consensus, without public consultation and without a democratic mandate. In such a situation, Mr. Ciolacu’s resignation is no longer an option, but a necessity.
Romania cannot afford ambiguities in foreign policy. We are not talking about a simple communication error, but about a possible deviation from the strategic direction of the Romanian state. In this context, I publicly ask Mr. Ciolacu if he discussed with the interim president Bolojan about this diplomatic mission or if he preferred to carry it out unilaterally, in contempt for the principles of institutional collaboration. Or maybe Mr. Ciolacu was too busy with suburban language posts on social media.
The fact that Mr. Sprînceană previously expressed positions close to those of the candidate Prous Călin Georgescu raises legitimate questions about the criteria on the basis of which he was appointed to represent Romania in such a sensitive context.
