BRATISLAVA. President Peter Pellegrini On Wednesday he signed an amendment to the Act on non -profit organizations.
The President’s office did not find the reasons for which this law in the approved version could be contrary to the Slovak Constitution or the European Rights.
According to the President, significant changes during the discussion of the law in Parliament have eliminated the risk that the standard will not be in accordance with the law of the European Union, for which Slovakia would face sanctions.

By signing the law, Pellegrini, according to opposition progressive Slovakia, joined the undemocratic steps of Robert Fico’s government. According to the movement, it wasted his unique opportunity to be ranked among the protectors of the fundamental rights and freedoms of people in Slovakia.
