The President plans to visit Pope Francis Funeral / Day
LETA has already written that Pope Francis, the Roman Catholic Church, died at the age of 88.
Francis, who led the Catholic Church for the last 12 years, expressed his desire to be buried outside the walls of the Vatican in Basilica, Mary’s Madzori of Rome.

Pope Francis’ funeral on Monday will take place on Saturday, the Vatican said on Tuesday.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10am (11:00 pm Latvian time) on the square near St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
It will be led by Dean of Cardinal College Giovanni Batista Re.
On Sunday, Francis welcomed believers from St. Peter’s Basilica Balcony, but did not read the traditional speech « Urbi et Orbi » (« For the City and the World »). In his address, the Pope called for freedom of thought and urged to be tolerant.
Buenos Aires Archbishop Horhe Mario Bergoljo was elected the Pope 266 on March 13, 2013 and accepted Francis’ name in honor of the 13th -century mystic, Antica Francis, who abandoned his wealth and devoted his life to the poor.
