The Presidency candidate broke the EU (video) flag
The Polish MEP Grzegorz Braun broke the EU flag. The candidate for the presidential elections that will take place on May 18 in Poland has not stopped here, causing another scandal. The incident took place at the Katowice Industry Ministry. The incident was recorded and posted on social networks.
Grzegorz Braun wrote on his social networks that he addressed the ministry with a parliamentary intervention on « liquidation of Polish mining ».

Braun claimed that he « restores a state of normality » and that « this is Poland, not Brussels ». He also added that « we will not display symbols of organizations that are hostile to us, which, thanks to the Lord, have no status, which is why such emblems are not protected by any law. »
The European Parliament voted on Tuesday the lifting of Braun’s immunity after he had died Hanuka candles in Sejm.
In 2024, in an investigation by the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office, Braun was accused, among other things, by the insult of a group of people from Seim, for religious reasons. It was about the extinguishing of Hanuka candles in Seim (the lower room of the Polish Parliament). Previously, Seim voted for the withdrawal of its immunity.
