The policeman ordered the 6-year-old to stand in the cold with a humiliating plate
It wasn't a nightmare joke This is a punishment invented by her own parents – policeman Cody Scott (33 years old) and his wife Kylie (34 l) from Logansport in the American state of Indiana. According to investigators, the couple used this « educational measure » regularly – forcing the child to publicly humiliate for alleged offenses.
The neighbors could not believe their eyes
The girl stood cold for 30 minutes, then she could go home for 10 minutes, and then she was driven out again. When passers -by saw her despair, they began to call the emergency number. « I couldn't believe that someone could treat his own child like that, » said Rebecca Gibbs, one of the people who reported the police case, cited by « Fox59 ».
When the patrol arrived, he saw something even more shocking. The girl's father, an officer of the local police, openly admitted that he did not see anything wrong in this punishment.
– In addition to the fact that I do not beat her brutally, I did not find another way that works – he was supposed to say Cody Scott to one of the officers, according to court materials, cited by American media.
Public humiliation – this is not the first time
The punishment for alleged bad behavior was not one -off. According to court documents, parents regularly forced the child to wear degrading plaques in public places.
At school, she had an inscription on her chest: « I piss on everything, and then I cover it like a cat. »
Under the supermarket she had to walk with the plate: « I'm lying to hurt other people. »
In Walmart she was ordered to wear a card with the inscription: « I am a liar. »
« This is the only punishment that works, » the parents said
During the hearings of Cody and Kylie Scott, they admitted that their daughter was struggling with behavioral problems and was psychiatrically treated. They claimed that no other discipline methods worked. Investigators suspect, however, that the family could manipulate the girl and prepare her for testimonies to avoid more serious accusations.

The case caused a huge stir in the United States. Cody and Kylie Scott were arrested and heard allegations of child abuse and exposure to danger.
The father of the girl, who is a policeman himself, was suspended without the right to remuneration. His future in the services is in question because the logansport authorities announced that after the investigation they will conduct their own investigation into his further employment.
What will happen to the girl?
It is not yet known where the six -year victim of the sadistic practices of parents will go. One thing is certain – she will never have to stand in the cold with a humiliating plate on the chest again.
