The photo little Simon met his hero Modric: ‘He was fulfilled, he was without a word!’

Fortunately, there was no end for little Simon Stojanovic from Zupanja when he heard that his favorite footballer and idol Luka Modric trains with Real Madrid not far from the place he is located in Florida these days. Although he went to another orthopedic surgery that would allow him to walk and remove the orthoses from his right leg, just the day before the agreed operations, his parents learned that not far from where they were located, in Palm Beach, the Real Madrid team has a planned training.

As usual, training is free for spectators for the first fifteen minutes, and the happiest and most persistent of them have the opportunity to welcome Real players at the moment they come to the stadium. It made Simun’s mom Martini an ideal opportunity to a little cheer on a son who already has trauma of frequent operations, and to fulfill his greatest desire – to meet Luka Modric.

– We came to Palm Beach Gardens, where Real has a camp and waited for hours for the team to come to training. Shima dressed the indispensable Modric jersey we always carry with us. We were a little discouraged, seeing that there were a large number of people who came with the same intent as we did, but when the team came, two police officers suddenly came to us and took us directly at Luka. Simon, seeing Luke, stood up from the cart and walking on his dentures, met his idol, and then greeted himself and shook hands with the whole team of Real. He was speechless after that and I am sure that Simun’s dream is to meet Luke and personally now, – Mom Martin told us, who and her son arrived in America a few days ago to an agreed surgery at the private clinic of the world’s most famous orthopedist, Dr. Paleya.

This doctor Simun has already done two major operations, including the leg amputation, but despite the bad forecasts, Simon is today a boy who walks independently with the help of aids and goes to school.

In all this, the Croatian public helps him with his donations, but also his personal heroes, including Luka Modric, who, a few months ago, sent him a video: « I heard that you were my big fan and just to know that I was your fan too.

– We are immensely grateful to Luke and his sugars, with whom Shima also took pictures and greeting. We are full of impressions – Mom Martina added.

Simon and his mom have to remain in Florida for the next four months, which will last for Simon’s recovery after a new demanding operation. They need a higher amount of money for this and are grateful for each new donation.

– We promised him the fight the day we saw him eight years ago and we will not give up. For him, we just want a life without pain, a living that promises independence. We left two sons in Croatia for four months and this fact hurts us, although we know that our loved ones will take care of them.

We believe that Sima will walk more stable after this operation, the decay of the spine and hips should be prevented, which are damaged by improper walking, and will also get a new denture when recovering from surgery – Mom Martin posted on the Facebook page dedicated to Simon’s fight with a series of problems.
