The overhaul of the railway will change the Elron trains schedule in the eastern and southern directions
From Monday, May 19, in connection with the overhaul and electrification of the railway, the train traffic schedule in the eastern and southern directions changes. The changes affect the lines of Ahegviid, Narva, Rakvere, Tartu, Koydul and Valga.
“The owner of the infrastructure of AS Eesti Raudtee continues the overhaul and electrification of the Tamsalo -Tart site so that the ŠKODA trains can be launched on the Tallinn -Tart line,” said Elron Communications, Christo Myue. “In connection with these works from May 19 to June 8, trains schedule in the eastern and southern directions will be adjusted.”
The changes will affect the two evening flights of Tallinn -Tart, the first and last flights of Tartu -Tallinn and the morning flight of Yygev -Tartu. “In the areas between Tartu and Tamsalu passengers, buses will be transported. Regular passengers should carefully familiarize themselves with the changes in the schedule. For flights with a bus transfer, the ticket price on the Tallinn -Tarta route was reduced when buying online: up to 9 euros for a regular ticket and up to 7 euros for the privilege, ”Mye explained.
Changes in international flights
- Until June 4 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (20–21.05, 27–28.05, 3–4.06) the initial and end station of routes Vilnius – Riga – Tallinn/Narva Tartu will be in Estonia.
- Changes in the schedule of Tallinn -Tarta flights, Tartu -Tallinn and Yyshev -Tartu
- Morning flight Tartu -Tallinn No. 211 leaves at 4:37. The Tartu -Temisalu section is served by a bus.
- The last flight of Tartu -Tallinn No. 217 leaves at 20:11. Tartu -Tramsalu section – bus. Arrival in Tallinn – 00:08.
- Flight Tallinn -Tart No. 216 leaves at 20:27. Tamsalo -Tartu section – bus. Arrival – 00:04.
- The last flight of the day of Tallinn -Tartu No. 62 leaves at 22:08. Tamsalo -Tartu section – bus. Arrival – 01:02.
- The morning flight of Yygev -Tartu No. 320 goes at 6:35. The whole way is served by bus. Arrival – 7:30.
- Until June 4, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, all flights between Yygev and Tartu will be fully served by buses due to repair work.
Stop replacing buses:
- Tamsalu – stop “Tamsalu” (on Raudtee Street)
- Kiltsi – “Kiltsi” (raudtee)
- Rakke – near the station building
- Vyagyava-TARTU-JYGEVA-ARAVETE MNT
- Pedia – « Vaimastvere »
- Yyshev – a taxi parking on the street. Puiestee (between Suur and Pargi)
- Kaareop, Tabiver, Karkna, Tartu – several stops (including “Salvest”, “Kesklinn Vi”, “Raudtejaam”)

Changes on the platforms
At the stations of Kitsekyul, Yulemist, Raashika, soared and Kera from May 19 to June 8, all trains will stop only at the platform in the direction of Tartu/Narva. The platforms towards Tallinn are closed.
Trains departing from the Baltic Station at 6:25 and 11:22 (in the direction of Tartu and Narva) will be linked to the tap, where the wagons will be divided: the front part is to Tartu, the back is on Narva.
Follow the pointers on the scoreboard and choose the desired car. A transplant is also possible at the stations of the Ylemist (on flight 11:22) and Lecht (on flight 6:25).
The next change in the schedule in the eastern and southern direction is scheduled for June 9.
