The operation of a company offering a conscripts' front card aroused the Defense Forces
Army|Inttististi Oy, who developed the front card, says he had given up the picture two weeks ago when the Defense Forces contacted the company.
Conscript Oulu -based Oulu -based company inttistti Oy no longer calls for a picture of a conscript card to obtain a military front card.
The change is based on the command of the General Staff of the Defense Forces in February, which prohibits the disclosure of conscript cards to outsiders.
CEO of Inttististi Oy Jaakko says that the Defense Forces were in contact with the company a couple of weeks ago. The company then gave up the picture to get the front card.
“Describing a military passport is not the right way for them. We moved it out the same day, ”says Pitsinki.
Hs reported At the beginning of February, a « intimatic card » benefit card for conscripts, which required a photo of the official conscript card.
With the front card, the conscript receives discounts, for example, in a clothing store and a restaurant.
“The General Staff has forbidden the description of conscript cards and the disclosure of the information contained in them for any purpose outside the Defense Forces,” the Communications Manager of the Defense Forces Max arhipinen communicated to HS by email on Thursday.
According to Arhippainen's message, the prohibition was given because the conscript card is a certificate indicating the passage within the meaning of the Defense Forces Transport Regulation.
According to Arhippainen, the command did not comment on the front card and the business idea of an entrepreneur behind it.
On the conscript card The transfer of the picture taken posed an unnecessary risk to the security of the armed forces, Arhippainen explains in the email.
By telephone, Arhippainen states that this is a risk assessment. The disclosure of personal data to outsiders is not appropriate.
The conscript card shows the conscript's rookie unit.
According to Arhippainen, a recent order is a reminder, as it was not desirable to disclose information on conscript cards to outsiders before.
If a conscript shares a picture of his card to outsiders, he basically violates the rules of the Defense Forces, says Arhippainen. However, he does not know whether the violation of that rule has ever led to action.
How should a conscript work if he has already shared a picture of his conscript card to an outside?
“Pull back the data if possible. If it's difficult, then learn. ”
Inttististi Oy Pitsinki says the company was in contact with the Defense Forces after the change.
“We made sure our current practices are ok. They responded that there was no need to come between us or the conscripts if the practices remained like this. ”
Pitsinki says that the company is likely to introduce Suomi.fi, which allows a conscript to identify when purchasing a front card.
According to Pitsing, there is currently no complete assurance.
“If somebody takes it (card) for themselves, then there is a risk that he or she pays for it (for the service), goes to the scene and tries to gain an advantage. Then he won't get it. ”
The conscripts using the intimate card were reported on the same day, both about the removal of their information and the change in the operating methods of the company.
According to Pitsing, about 600 conscripts are currently introduced by the conscripts' front card.
