The operation « Jupiter 3 », in figures
IGPR announced the balance of the operation « Jupiter 3 ». Jupiter 3 operation -described as the largest coordinated operation in the history of the Romanian Police and the Public Ministry, carried out between June 2-6-it involved over 1,600 searches, 400 warrants were executed and arranged preventive measures compared to 230 people.
« Carried out under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, in collaboration with the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, as a continuation of the activities of 2024, the operation had as the main purpose to combat the economic-financial offenses, of those aiming at weapons and dangerous substances, the protection of the environment and the inspector of the Romanian (IGPR) transmitted on Tuesday.
The police officers for investigating the economic crime have carried out 145 major actions to administer the probation in 145 criminal files, being carried out 845 house searches and enforced 274 warrants.
Following the activities carried out, preventive measures were ordered compared to 109 persons.

Other goods were unavailable in total value of over 28,000,000 lei, consisting mainly in 25,500,000 cigarettes, 28,000 articles and counterfeit perfumes.
In the field of weapons, explosives and hazardous substances, 606 home search warrants were implemented in 179 criminal files, with the object of qualified smuggling, non -observance of the weapons and ammunition regime, hunting poaching, use of weapon without law, non -observance of the regime of explosive materials and non -observance.
In these criminal files, investigations are carried out compared to 103 persons, for 18 of them, preventive measures being ordered.
« In order to continue the research, ten lethal weapons were erected, 444 non -lethal weapons, 920 ammunition elements for lethal weapons, 141,804 non -lethal ammo elements, a grenade, 23 trophies, 90 CO2 gas cylinders, 17 And other relevant goods and inscriptions, ”IGPR states.
Criminal investigation police officers have implemented 119 home search warrants within criminal files in which investigations are being carried out for committing crimes of robbery, blackmail, deprivation of freedom, qualified theft, scam, pimping and computer science.
At the same time, preventive measures have been ordered compared to 81 people.
« In the criminal files, the estimated damage is approximately 2,500,000 euros, being applied insurance measures of over 400,000 euros and unavailable other goods worth about 370,000 euros, » the statement said.
The public law enforcement police officers carried out seven operative actions and implemented 83 home search warrants, being targeted environmental offenses, on the line of forestry, fish farming and waste management.
Also, 39 warrants were implemented, with preventive measures against 22 persons.
At the same time, two vehicles worth 25,000 euros were seized and 40 tonnes of non -ferrous waste, ten fishing tools, forbidden for detention, ten motifs, three vehicles, two non -lethal weapons for prohibited and about 40,000 euros, as well as other goods and documents of interest.
The main offenses investigated in the criminal files in which major actions have been organized are tax evasion, deception, smuggling, illegal obtaining of funds, misappropriation, non -observance of the fiscal regime, counterfeiting, non -observance of the environmental protection legislation, non -compliance with the weapons regime and other.
