The number of security officers in schools increases

Education Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, through a post on social networks, announced the increase in the number of security officers in elementary and high schools, as well as the involvement of security officers in vocational education schools as well.

“Basic education schools and the United Schools with 350 students will have 1 security officers, out of the 600 students who were in the first way.
Higher secondary education schools with over 80 students will have 1 security officer. All elementary and high schools with more than 900 students will have 2 security officers. Vocational education schools will have 1 security officer when they have over 80 students and 2 security officers when they have over 700 students”, Says Minister Manastirliu.

The government has made a new decision to strengthen security in all pre -university educational institutions. Security officers will be present in more schools, including professional ones. For the first time, elementary schools with 350 students will have security officers, while 900 students will have two safety officers. For the first time is the involvement of officers in vocational education schools. These measures are part of the Action Plan of the Ministry of Education and Sport to increase safety in schools, plan, which began implementation after widespread consultation with the parents’ community in all schools.
