The newest chip shop is one with balls: « We hope to sell 1 million a year » (Ghent)

That was not yet in the cooling tooth of the fryer: an edible penis. But that will change soon. On Monday and Tuesday, the Perlut will be presented at Restofrit Expo. The scoop is for Viktor Verhulst. In two weeks, every fryer that is affiliated with Restofrit can offer the latest snack.

« It is an idea of ​​MC drummer from Kamping Kitsch Club, » says festival spokesman Kurt Frederickx. « He had been dreaming of his own festival snack for some time. The form comes from Piet Perlut, the mascot of Kamping Kitsch. » The Perlut is a snake based on chicken, beef, onion and a secret spice mix. All stabbed in a crispy jacket. « He doesn’t even have to sauce, he is so juicy. »

« There are currently 50,000 produced. But the festival dreams of more. We hope to sell one million in one year. In the chip shop, but also at our festivals in Flanders and in the Netherlands. » Last year the wrong festival already launched a penis pump and a vibrator. « Both a sample success, » it sounds. « This fits in with the list. It is a world first. A chip shop with this form does not exist anywhere. » The suggested retail price for the edible penis is 3.95 euros.
