The new working week in Latvia is expected to rain, cool and windy / day

Last week started with a sunny and spring warm weather, but at the end of the week, a much colder air mass entered Latvia and in many places it was snowy, with some snow cover for up to ten cents.

In the new week, with Latvia from the east, as the country’s territory is expected in most territory, rainfall is expected, mainly rain and wet snow. Wind will increase at a speed of 22 meters per second (m/s) on the coast on Tuesday.

At night, the air temperature will still drop below zero, only in places in the western areas and on the coast, the minimum air temperature will be pros. In the days, the air does not become more than +2, +8 degrees.

On Monday, the sky will be cloudy and some sunlight will shine. Both at night and during the day will be expected to rain. The northern wind wind blows, with gusts of 14 m/s. At night, the air will cool down to -2, -7 degrees, but in the western areas, where the sky is cloudy, only to -1, +2 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up to +2, +6 degrees, while in the western areas it will be a few degrees warmer.

Similar weather conditions are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. The sky will be clear at times, but from time to time precipitation is expected, mostly wet snow and rain. The northern wind winds, whose speed in the central and eastern areas of the day will still be in gusts of 15 m/s. On Wednesday, the wind will turn from the west, with gusts reaching 15-19 m/s, and in some places up to 22 m/s.

At night, the minimum air temperature is expected to be -1, -6 degrees, coasts around -2, +3 degrees, but during the daylight hours the air temperature will rise to +2, +8 degrees.

In the second half of the week, the sky will occasionally be covered with clouds that will bring precipitation in most parts of the country, mainly rain and wet snow. On Friday, a few centimeters of snow cover could form a new centimeters of snow in the eastern areas of the country. The wind will still be gusty in many places and the air temperature will remain below zero at night.

For the time being, the synopticists do not promise particularly better weather next weekend, but later in Latvia a much more spring time could return.
