The new school uniforms

Fortunately, there is already the time of using the lighter gowns, which were always immaculate, with a very tight belt and in the right orientation, at the expense of some scratchies and watented.

It has also passed the time when girls could not wear pants and the one in which they could already be used, but there was a greater sense of what was more suitable in each context, namely in school.

Like the teacher’s authority, the pejo and the common sense sometimes are forgotten. And without them, teachers and students lose the north more easily. It is necessary authority, consistency, and clear rules, which seem to be imposed shyly and democratically, without great conviction, perhaps as a counterpoint to the repressive melody of the past times. Or the new repression. But authority and rules should not be confused with punishment or repression. On the contrary, the rules are like guides, they are an act of kindness and construction.

Today many parents seem to have some difficulty in the important and arduous task of educating. As if this could make children more unhappy or less free.

Naturally adolescence is one of the most challenging phases, in which the boundaries are constantly tested. But this can be understood as a request for help, an opportunity to guide, where one learns to where it is acceptable to advance, where and how you can go. In which the rules of society and life are transmitted. Not only by words, but especially for acts. And this can be lived at various levels.

For example, in relation to clothes. Naturally young people should be faithful to their style and dress, affirm themselves and differ according to what they like. But isn’t it equally important to learn that we should dress according to the situations and the context in which we are? That the way we present ourselves is also a sign of respect for others and different situations? Isn’t this the role of parents in the education of their children? Or should we only leave the criterion of the younger ones what is adequate or not?

Once the good weather is very common to see the boys at the Bath Shorts School and Slippers and the girls with almost transparent beach dresses and bikini. As if classes were just a site of passage to the beach. Is this body language reflected in attitude towards school, learning and teachers?

Many times students want to parade with the latest and most desired toilette that cost them so much to nail their parents, and undoubtedly the school seems to be the ideal place to do so. But perhaps it is not the most suitable for some outfits.

No doubt it is more practical in summer to slip your feet into Hawaiian and wearing a bath that is already for the beach than other clothes that will become a hindrance at the end of a day of class. But sometimes it takes work. Sometimes it is necessary to understand that posture and presentation can be translated into respect. That it is not bad to have rules and limits. Rules that structure and guide. And that there is time and space for everything. Or at least it should exist. For example, to change clothes after class.
