The new Rhythms of Riga will feature the new global music star Momi Milda / Day
Momi’s gentle is a very gifted Senegalese musician, composer and singer whose passion and talent exceeds the usual boundaries. Momi Maiga in Riga will be joined by his permanent quartet members: percussionist Aleiks Tobias, violinist Carlos Montforts and cellist Marsal Ajatss. The unusual combination of musical instruments demonstrates Momi’s ability to successfully combine their culture with others. After arriving in Spain, he got to know the music around there, released it through his artistic feeling, and merged it together with the influence of flamenco and jazz, his Iberian folk music and European classical music, creating a unique sound, which is a special surprise in the combination of West African music.
The Senegalese singer mostly sings in the languages of West Fiancan -Volof and Mandinka ethnos. His songs are reported on core values. Momi’s gentle comes from the musical Sisoko family, known for the promotion of West African culture for centuries.
