The opening of the new Presidential Complex, which was built in the capital Nicosia and contained the Presidency, the Republic, Prime Ministry and the National Garden, was opened.

The opening ceremony of the Presidential Campus, which was started to be built in 2022 in a large area of ​​639 thousand 475 square meters, was held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the TRNC President Ersin Tatar.

The current building will be converted into a museum

The opening of the campus is the modern meeting halls, a large conference hall, a comprehensive library and dining hall. The National Garden, which is an important part of the complex, includes seating areas, football field, mosque, tennis court and skateboard track for the use of the people.

The Presidential Complex in Türkiye and the new campus, which has architectural similarities, is planned to be moved to the Presidential and the Republican Assembly after the opening.

When this movement is completed, the current historical building used by the Presidency is expected to be transformed into a museum.

With this modern complex built by Türkiye, it is aimed to strengthen the physical infrastructure of the state institutions in the TRNC, to expand the working areas and to provide service by gathering in a single center in different places in Nicosia.
