The new fees for students: up to 900 BGN for pedagogy, up to 1500 for computer specialties

The average annual fee for full -time doctoral students in higher education will be BGN 1650, with BGN 300 more than the current one, and their average application fee – BGN 80 a year of training in the military schools will cost an average of BGN 1180. They will apply for BGN 50 on average. Equally, the fee for applying to scientific organizations, where doctoral students will study for BGN 845 a year.

By universities

Application fees at different universities start at BGN 30 and reach up to 120. Those for training for most specialties are less than BGN 1000 a year. An exception is the specialties in the arts and medical. The difference in the tuition fee in the same specialty in different higher education institutions can be almost double. For example, « Pedagogy » at the Technical University in Sofia costs 493 BGN, in the Shumen – 500, in Sofia – 530, and in the Rousse – 900.

At Sofia University, the application will cost BGN 50 for a foster exam or recognition of a grade from the matriculation. The lowest annual fees for government contracts will amount to BGN 530. It is so worth training in some of the pedagogical specialties. Most philological are 600 levs, as much as « Psychology », « Political Science », « Journalism », « Public Administration » and others. The year « Law » and « International Attachment » will be 800 BGN each, « Informatics », « Computer Science » and « Software Engineering » – 900. Then it will be free for students, and the state will pay their full support to the universities.

At the University of Plovdiv, the first exam/recognition of the matriculation will cost BGN 40, and each subsequent – BGN 25 each. The lowest training fee is for the specialty « National Security » (210 BGN). « Administration and Management » and « Economics » will cost BGN 525 each, and philology – 700 each. For a year in Law, the freshmen will pay 1200 BGN each, and the other students in the specialty – BGN 1100 each.

Application is much more expensive to apply to Veliko Turnovo University – BGN 120 for participation in the candidate admission and ranking with recognition of grade from matriculation and BGN 60 for each single exam. Training fees range between 740 and 1060 BGN.

30 BGN per exam/matriculation, but annual training fees reaching BGN 1470 (for « Nurse » and « Midwife ») offers the Southwestern University. The training will be cheaper if the specialty is studied at the Medical University of Sofia, where a year would cost 800 BGN. Even there, the training of future doctors, dentists and pharmacists will cost cheaper than the nurses in Blagoevgrad – 1200 BGN each. The training of future medics in Plovdiv and Pleven will also be BGN 1200, 1400 – in Varna.

The most expensive ones will be the specialties in the arts. Those at the National Academy of Arts will cost 1620 a year, in the National Academy of Music – 1600 BGN (for freshmen and 1500 for the other courses), up to 1400 levs will be at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.

In the group of the most expensive can also be added « Communication and Computer Engineering » at the Technical University in Sofia – 1500 BGN, where the other engineering specialties will cost 1200 BGN per year training.
