All funds have been invested in the shareholders of the Repharm Groups, which also includes the Central Laboratory.

Similarly, the opening of the branch stated that laboratory tests account for 70% of all clinical assessments of patients’ health, making it a very important health care sector. The new automated laboratory line will be able to diagnose examinations faster.

The new branch will provide a range of full -spectrum laboratory tests, including blood, urine, microbiological and immunehematology tests. Patients will have access to both state -funded and paid services.

Prime Minister Evika Siliņa (JV), on the other hand, emphasized that the new laboratory is one of the most innovative in the Baltics, which increases the competitiveness of Latvian health care and will allow modern services not only to the local population but also to countries where such an automated line is not yet available.

Economy Minister Viktors Valainis (ZZS) emphasized that the pharmaceutical industry is developing in Latvia, industry companies are investing and the industry is an important Latvian economic sector.

Valainis also expressed the hope that the industry will have more and more ambitious, innovative companies that will be able to offer services at European level.

LETA has already announced that « Central Laboratory » had a turnover of EUR 33.51 million in 2023, which is 49.9% less than in 2022, but the company’s profit shrunk several times to EUR 4.316 million.

The company « Central Laboratory » was registered in 1994 and the company’s share capital is 300 euros, according to Firmas.lv information.

« Central Laboratory » is one of the companies of the Repharm Group. The Repharm Group also includes « Recipe Plus », JSC « Sentor Farm aptiekas », which manages the pharmacy network « Moon Pharmacy », JSC « Health Center Association » and other companies.

The Repharm Group is owned by AS « AB City », which also owns the drug manufacturer JSC « Olpha », which in turn owns the vegetable manufacturer of the vegetation manufacturer JSC « Riga Pharmaceutical Fabrika », SIA « Tonus Elast », SIA « Silvanols » and other exceptions.

The true beneficiaries of AB City, according to the company’s website, are Sergei Kornijenko, Andrei Leibovic, Alexander Livshitz, Mikhail Lurje, Yelena Nikitin and Robert Tavjev.
