BRATISLAVA. The state called on to modernize the Bratislava polyclinic in Tehná, incorporated it into the system of public health care providers and sold it to the municipality for a symbolic euro.

The building is owned by the Ministry of Economy. In 2022 it wanted to sell it for EUR 14.7 million with VAT, the interest was low. Then it started to negotiate with the capital, but did not reach any conclusion.

« Until we have the final solution of the solution, the ministry will not make any preliminary conclusions or comment on the ongoing negotiations, » the Ministry of SME pointed out.

It continues to evaluate the opportunity to use the area. The state has been owned by the polyclinic since 1986.

« We asked the Minister (Denisa Sakova) to take into account the needs of citizens to have a central polyclinic in the circuit of construction development, which at the same time ages, but no one has built a replacement, » TASR told TASR.

In the catchment area of the polyclinic there are Nové Mesto, Vajnory and Rača.

The state stock, which operates a medical facility, assures that it is not going to restrict medical services and the health center will work as before.

« On the contrary, the interest of doctors in the lease in the polyclinic building persists and is extended to our pleasure with trade unions that have not yet been in the building of the polyclinic, » says the Board of Directors of the Poliklinika Tehelná Poliklinika.

New Town also responded to the initiative through Your Facebook account. The first to refute the information that the polyclinic was in danger of demolishing.

The Ministry of Defense is said to be interested in saving the building and preserving medical services, even for the locals. SME also contacted the Ministry of Defense to inform about its plans with the polyclinic, but did not answer.

In accordance with the announced intention, according to the city district, the new draft zoning plan of the Tehelná zone should be. Even in the future it counts on the polyclinic.

Part of the election campaign has already been

The proposal of the new zoning plan, which the city district harmonized with the territorial plan of the capital, would allow the zone to build apartments. They should also replace part of the polyclinic building.

Mayor of Nové Mesto Matúš Čupka (Team Bratislava, PSSaS) ruled out that the polyclinic would be replaced by flats.

“There should be about 46 apartments together. The idea is that it would be apartments for the health center staff, ”says the mayor.

“I emphasize that the draft zoning plan is publicly negotiated and nothing is still approved. We are grateful for the comments sent to us by the inhabitants and now we evaluate them. ”

The Office collected comments by February 24. Some elderly citizens led by Šimov reproached the city district that it only reported on the web.

The master plan is also criticized by the former mayor of Nové Mesto Rudolf Kusý (independent). In the Facebook video He says about the threat that the health center will disappear and replace it with apartments.

« They have not tightened anything, on the contrary, they are going to relax everything, » comments the Kusý zoning plan of the Tehelná zone.

“I expected the city district to say – we are going to do it hard to protect the health center and it is not enough for us to be defined as a medical and bathroom. We need general and specialist doctors. ” He is worried that there are no plastic surgeons in the building.

« How should it be written in the zoning plan that there may be only some specific medical facilities? » It opposes Kusý's New Town and municipal deputy Katarína Augustinič (Team Bratislava, PS, SaS). « There will be such an outpatient clinic for which there will be a demand. »

He considers the video of the former mayor as part of his upcoming candidacy. The polyclinic became the central theme of the election campaign even before the last local elections in 2022.

According to Augustinič, Kusý was supposed to push for the purchase of the polyclinic in 2022, when he was mayor and the ministry sold a building. “He also worked in side a good choicewhose leader was the Minister of Health, could better use his contacts. «

City or County apparently do not have money

« The building is in a deplorable state, because the state invests at least in it, » says the New Town MP Tomáš Korček (independent), who is also a city deputy.

The investment debt was estimated at three million euros. « However, if the polyclinic were to operate at the level of the 21st century, the investments would get up to tens of millions of euros, » he thinks.

He would support the efforts at the forefront of Šimov. However, he does not think that he would tighten the 40-million budget of the New Town.

In addition, the self-government lacks know-how to manage such facilities, added Augustinič.

If the clinic is to be taken over by the municipality, Korček can only imagine it in cooperation with the municipality and county. According to spokeswoman Lucie Formanová, she has no money to buy and operate the polyclinic.

The county would not be able to pay the repair of the building, because it invests mainly in its property. It ends with the repair of the polyclinic in Karlova Ves and the health center in Petržalka, which he owns.

The municipality and the city district were interested in buying a polyclinic, but after the change of political leadership of the Ministry after the election of the negotiations, they calmed down. Augustinič does not have information that the city would address this topic.

Šimov also requires the expansion of the polyclinic to a public day care center for seniors. New Town does not plan anything in the building, Lukáš Laczko reports from the local office.
