The NBS site shows that the account of Serbia’s electricity distribution is blocked, EDS denies – economics
Today about 13 hours, as many as 54 out of 100 accounts of Serbia’s electricity distribution (EDS) and its branches were blocked on the basis of forced collection, the Cekpoint service showed.
Three hours later, only one account was blocked, the one in the Serbian Bank, can be seen on the site National Bank of Serbia.
Today, EDS was denied today that it has blocked accounts due to debt, pointing out that no EDS account is blocked, nor partially blocked, and that there is money in all accounts and that every day traffic takes place regularly and smoothly.
« It is meaningless that National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has no data on blocked accounts of the company, because the EDS has no recorded outstanding obligations in the register of NBS, » EDS said.
It is estimated that « such false states only in panic in citizens and inflict damage to EDS, which is obviously the only goal ».
It reminds that the NBS is the only reference body that keeps the account register and all data and that it can confirm that.
« EDS and 33 branches have more than a hundred bills, which is constantly taking place, and business banks are not in real time account balance, but there is no probability, but it is not a factual state, » it says in a statement.
In Annex Announcement, the EDS reported the NBS report on the debtor’s search in forced collection, at this day, in which this company has no recorded outstanding liabilities in the last five years.
Last year, Serbia’s electricity distribution recorded a loss of as much as 59.2 million euros, after loss of nine million euros in 2023. years.
