The National Council would have failed at Samschtig-Jass
Difference in the Bundeshaus: At “Samschtig-Jass”, the National Council would have failed colossal
The purpose of the special session is to reduce advances. But during the three days, the council members can submit new request. The difference this week: plus 70. What would have said “Samschtig-Jass” presenter Monika Fasnacht?
As President of the National Council, Maja is Riniker for Parliament, which Monika Fasnacht was for the “Samschtig-Jass”: the moderator. And so she released her 199 parliamentarians on Wednesday with the encouraging words: « We have done a lot about this special session. » The Council treated 83 motions and postulates, « but they submitted 25 motions and postulates again by 5 p.m. That is a positive balance, said Riniker, « at least ».
The purpose of the special session of reducing as many parliamentary advances as possible, because the time in the regular session simply does not meet, so it was fulfilled at first glance. But Riniker will have known why she emphasized the time – 5 p.m. -. Because unlike the “Samschtig-Jass”, the definitive result in parliament was not yet available in the official final deadline.
In fact, a lot more new advances were submitted from Monday to Wednesday, as can be seen on Thursday in the parliament database: 153 are in number, including 40 motions, 6 postulates and a whopping 65 interpellations. But all the small inquiries must also be answered carefully by the administration and parliament.
By Wednesday, 5 p.m., it looked good: National Council President Maja Riniker heralds the bell at the beginning of the special session.
