The new museum, designed and realized in all rules of the museum profession, will significantly enrich the tourist and cultural offer of Zagreb. One of the ways in which the Museum of the VideoGar history will enrich the cultural scene of the capital are special events, guest lectures and meetings with the most influential persons from this industry, especially since the Croatian gaming industry makes a significant part of the creative sector in our country.
– Video games are an integral part of my life, and through this museum I want to share that passion with the world, especially with younger generations that may not have experienced the magic of early days of video games. In addition, video games have long been part of contemporary culture. This museum aims to educate, inspire and entertain visitors through an exciting journey into the history of video games. Furthermore, the museum is 100 percent privately funded. It is a very personal project where I was not ready for a lot of compromise, so I didn’t even try to look for alternative funding sources. When we start working and show that this is a very serious project that is not yet in Europe, we hope for wider support – says Damir Šlogar.
