The murder of German tourists in Warsaw. The victim’s sister is looking for the truth
On March 24, 2025, more than a decade after the murder, the trial of the capital gangster Zdzisław W. accused of murdering a couple from Hamburg. Peter H. († 62 years old) and Silke G. († 63 years old), in search of adventures, set off on a journey by their camper. Their purpose? Poland: Warsaw, and then Ukraine and the Euro 2012 European Football Championships. However, what was supposed to be an exciting chapter in their lives ended dramatically.
In 2012, after reaching the capital, Peter and Silke decided to stop in the picturesque area of Warsaw Mokotów, near the Czerniakowski lake reserve. And there was a tragedy. The killer shot three times to Silke, died in front of the car. Peter was hit once. When a passerby found him in the cabin, he was still alive. But he didn’t manage to say anything. Shortly thereafter he died in the hospital.
Attempt to kill his son and mafia connections: who is Zdzisław W.?
During the investigation, the investigators gained key evidence – a glove from the bottom. It belonged to the capital gangster Zdzisław W. « Painted ». At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, this man was associated with a criminal group specializing in robberies for trucks. This group included, among others Criminals associated with the Mokotowski Gang and members of the famous and unique dangerous gang called « mutants ».
The group was particularly famous for the campaign in 2002. On one of the properties in Parole (in the Pruszków poviat) a truck was discovered full of stolen RTV equipment with a value of nearly PLN million. The officers who arrived in place secured the vehicle and its load. Unexpectedly armed members of the gang appeared. There was a shooting during which the commissioner Mirosław Żak, head of the criminal section of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno, was deadly injured.
It was also loud, which started a year later in Magdalena, where two gangsters killed two anti -terrorists and hurt 17.
Can the trace of DNA from the glove plunge « painted »?
Zdzisław W., accused of murdering German pensioners, defended himself during the trial, claiming that he was not present at the crime scene. « I didn’t shoot at these people, » he said in court and also referred to evidence in the form of a glove from his DNA, which was found at a short distance from the crime scene. He stated that he had no idea how his genetic traces were on the glove, all the more three days after the murder.
He also added that the found glove fits on his left hand and he is right -handed. « The right -handed person would not shoot with his left hand, » he said.

Drugs, traces of amphetamine and cocaine were found in the camper of the German couple. Which suggested that investigators that a failed drug transaction could have been the motive of the crime. According to the sister of the murdered German woman, this is impossible. – This thesis is absurd. The sister never had contact with drugs. I know this because we were very close – he says to « Fakt ».
The family lawyer thinks similarly. – These are not people who could be drug smugglers in any way. It was two pensioners who spent all their lives without a single offense against the law. I believe that the murder took place for financial reasons. 600 euros and a camera disappeared from the motorhome – a lawyer Jacek Franek tells us.
The family of murdered Germans was starting that the trial in this matter was starting only a few days before the first trial. – I am surprised, but I would like to close a terrible chapter in my life. It is also very important for me to find out why my sister was really killed – he emphasizes.
