The murder of chief commissioner Artan Cuku, the prosecution seeks life imprisonment for the two perpetrators

The Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has requested life imprisonment for the two perpetrators of the murder of former Vlora Police Chief Artan Cuku.

The Tirana Prosecutor’s Office seeks life imprisonment for BJ and KLs for the murder of former Vlora Police Director, AC

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana General Jurisdiction Court seeks life imprisonment for citizens BJ alias BM and Kl alias GK for the offenses of ‘Murder of State Police’ and ‘Unlawful possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition’ provided by Antient 79/B and 278/1 of the Criminal Code.

Investigations in criminal proceedings No.139/2017 showed that the defendant made a person of great social risk and in prosecution by investigative and police bodies from 2000, in 2012 was investigated by Police Services in the Vlora Police Directorate for serious criminal events specifically the murder of citizens Sh.M. and E. Sh. And thanks to the investigative work at the time this directorate was led by the deceased AC, he was arrested and investigated for these serious criminal facts cited above, but later during the trial he was acquitted and released.

It is for this reason, in 2017 the citizen in retaliation prepared the killing of the former Vlora Police Director. To accomplish this goal, he entered into an agreement with the citizen KL and to carry out the murder also met M. Sh., Who was promised payment of about 20,000 euros and would receive him in Germany after committing the murder, persuading to commit the crime. Citizen Kl provided citizen M.SH, with 2 pistol -type weapons, one Zastava type and the other clock with a silencer, while pursuing the victim from afar receiving observation.

Citizen M.SH fired at least 8 times the victim leaving the scene with no signs of life. This citizen was immediately detained and after the arrest signed cooperation agreements with justice. Defendant M.SH. He was sentenced to ten years in prison after receiving the charge and criminal fact, cooperated with justice and repented of the crime committed to the victim’s family.

Investigations showed any reasonable suspicion that the killing was intentionally carried out in the form of premeditated premium driven by revenge motives and for the benefit of two other associates. These three people cooperated in the BJ leadership to kill the AC as a ultimate goal, driven by various motives. The organizer of this collaboration was intended for revenge, while the assistant was intended to help his friend and at the same time the son of Aunt M. Sh. To get the money and helped him commit the offense, while M. Sh. had the interest benefit in this cooperation and as a result the three committed the killing of former Vlora Police Director.

For this reason the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction requested:

Defendant’s guilty plea for the criminal offense of « Kill of State Police Officers » provided by Articles 79/b and 25 Criminal Code and his sentence of life imprisonment; AND

Defendant KL’s guilty plea for the criminal offense of « Kill of State Police Employees » provided by Articles 79/b and 25 Criminal Code and his sentence of life imprisonment.
