– The Minister of Justice is responsible for the prison service, this is the second such macabre case in recent months. What did Minister Bodnar do for the prison service at that time? The prison service is quiet and we are not visible or we are said loudly when there is a spectacular event – says Kulig referring to a recent tragedy in Prusice, where the officer killed his mother -in -law and five -year -old daughter. Our interlocutor believes that financially attractive working conditions should be created so that the right people go to service. He emphasizes that working in prisons and detention centers is a difficult place. – By definition, we often deal with people from a social margin, pathologies, you can’t escape from it and you can’t not soak out evil. We have to deal with this evil – notes our interlocutor.

A unionist about Adam Bodnar: he cares about the convicts more

He recalls that the service is not particularly gratified. In his opinion, the current Minister of Justice took care of the rights of convicts than officers. Adam Bodnar Even as a spokesperson, he was more interested in the environment of convicts than officers or the employees of the Prison Service and I am continuing to continue this policy. – We reported many demands to him, he did not answer them – says Marcin Kulig.

Society receives us like that later – believes the Vice -President of Solidarity Saint – It causes frustration in the environment of officers and employees of the Prison Service – he adds. Difficult work is not gratified, and there are more duties. Professionals leave the service.

– There are too few of us, and often the architectural conditions in prisons do not allow the introduced solutions, since we give more rights to the convicted person, let’s provide additional jobs and working conditions – says Kulig. He calculates that he has up to 100 convicts under his care. – You have to perform various activities with them, from going for a walk, to the doctor, dispel meals, record everything in the records, each exit and entry from the cell is associated with search. If the ward does not like convicts, then various ideas come to their minds. It is not really easy to work there. We are currently focusing more on prisoners, not those who protect society, it should not be like that – says Marcin Kulig.
