The motion was debated and voted in the plenary of Parliament, being an occasion of mutual attacks.
Marcel Ciolacu said on Friday that it was 'obvious' that the censorship motion would not be adopted, as it was 'a political chamber'.
'It was obvious that the censorship motion would fall, in fact it was a political chamber. I am one of the politicians who believe in democracy and I believe that every democratic instrument, including the censorship motion against a government, must be a time when both the opposition and the power to clarify certain government things and explain to the Romanians, so that, after such a democratic exercise, even if it does not happen today. I will see myself further from the job with my colleagues, « Ciolacu said in Parliament, after rejecting the censorship motion.
The meeting started at 11:00.
In the document entitled 'Prime Minister Nordis must leave, the Romanians were tired of humility', the signatories claimed that the current government is 'illegitimate' and, although they are only two months old, a shameful balance of abuses and failures 'accumulates'.
'Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu was imposed by President illegitimate Klaus Iohannis, during the time he had already completed his constitutional mandate. Therefore, this government and this prime minister are deprived of any trace of legitimacy, representing the abusive prolongation of a regime categorically rejected by citizens. Regarding its executive capacity, in a functional democracy, it would not even need a censorship motion to remove it-this government should never exist, « the motion shows.
According to the signators of the motion, the prime minister lost his credibility, his image and some 'prominent' members of the cabinet being 'compromised' by associating with the monstrous 'Nordis' scandal, a fraud of huge proportions, of tens of millions, who left behind almost 1,000 Romanians deceived by the complicity and the complicity between the politicians.
