Mysterious History of Magura and Tulum

Magura Hill was a sacred hill, a place where important religious and political rituals were performed. In the past, the monument on this hill came through an imposing tetrapylon – a monumental building 13 meters high, which was a crossroads of roads. One of these roads led to monuments on the top of the hill, while the other led towards the main gate of Romulijana. At 130 meters from this crossroad, research revealed the walls of an unknown building, which was later buried for protection, but it knows very little, because the research has been terminated and data on this site are not documented.

However, the most prominent monument in Maguri is certainly a mausoleum at the highest point of the hill, 230 meters from Tetrapilon. Although the Mausoleum is in ruins today, its parts were considered to be used in the construction of a late-term Romulian. It is assumed that in this Mausoleum, the gallery was buried, Romula, about 305. Years. This building was about 12 meters high and represented one of the most important places in this part of the Roman Empire.

Tulum – a place of divine rising

One of the most fascinating and most interested parts of Magura is a tulum – a stone ring shaped area of ​​30 meters in diameter and up to two meters, within which a wooden bonfire is found. This party was not just a ritual space, but it was a place where the rites of Apotheosis were performed, which at the time marked the rise of the Caaric persona among the gods. There was a wax figure in this place – the real body of the Emperor was not burned.
