The Moscow region resolved the issue with the third entrance to the Korolev
The new road on the territory of the Losynaya Island national park may appear by March 2026. We are talking about organizing an additional entry into the Korolev suburbs from the M-8 highway. For this, it is planned to use existing streets and technical driveways, which will be expanded to a full road. Thus, the Ministry of Transport of the Ministry of Transport expects to solve the problem of traffic jams on existing entrances to the queens. We are talking about « full -fledged construction » in the territory of the national park, which can harm the ecosystem of the reserved territory, the expert says.
The authorities of the Moscow Region intend to create a new congress from the Yaroslavl highway to Korolev by March 2026, follows from the response of the regional Ministry of Transport to the request of a local resident published on social networks. Now, we recall, you can get along Pionerskaya Street and through Bolshevskoye Shosse, but their throughput is no longer enough. To organize the third entry, the authorities will carry out “engineering surveys”, prepare a project and conduct “capital work” in the site from M-8 to Kaliningrad Street, including on the existing watering alley.
Part of this path will pass along the Losynaya Island national park (has the status of a specially protected territory of federal significance), where any construction work should be agreed with the Ministry of Natural Resources and undergo an environmental examination. Between the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Park“ Losynaya Island ”” and the State Budgetary Institution “Mosavtodor” (the institution subordinate to the regional Ministry of Transport) has already signed an agreement on the easement (granting the right to limited use of property) in relation to the site under the road.
The need for additional entry into the queens is discussed for several years. Back in 2023, the city administration proposed to lay the road using a watering alley and technical driveways in the territory of the national park. From the very beginning, local residents, ecologists and scientists did not like this option (See “Kommersant” dated March 28, 2024): They saw at the construction site the risk of damage to the national park. At the end of 2024, residents asked about the road with Vladimir Putin during a direct line with the president. As a result, the head of state instructed the Government of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Region and the Public Chamber by April 1, 2025 to consider various entry options taking into account the opinions of residents. The authorities of the Moscow Region stopped at the option, which was originally offered.
In the future, the reconstruction of Pionerskaya Street itself with its expansion to six lanes is considered, it follows from the response of the Ministry of Transport. But the implementation of the project will require “numerous” seizures affecting the private sector, residential buildings, garages and cooperative parking, the department said.
To exclude collapse during the work, the regional authorities suggest first organize an alternative entrance through the “moose island”, and then take up Pioneer Street.
“Kommersant” requested additional details of the project from the Ministry of Transport, the department was not provided with a comment.
Legal conflicts related to the construction of the road to Korolev through the National Park were “generally resolved,” says Anton Khlynov, a member of the Expert Council under the Federal Reserve, noting that the construction of the road can lead to serious consequences for the city residents and residents of the city. “What is now in the national park is a concrete with a width of almost three to four meters, laid back in the USSR for the internal needs of forestry and in some areas already absent altogether. Even two cars will not be separated there, ”he explains.“ So it will be a full -fledged construction. After this road is reconstructed, it will replace the status according to the documents, and its subsequent reconstruction will legally be able to turn the road into a full -fledged highway through the national park, which is unacceptable for environmental areas. ” At the same time, Mr. Khlynov doubts that the new road will solve the transport problem of the city. “The queen is developing multi-storey construction, and traffic jams arise due to pendulum migration of the population to work in Moscow,” the expert explains.
