Traditionally for almost 70 years is for Morgunblaðið to award a prize for the best results in riding. Of course, that tradition was of course kept now.
Talented guys
« The years here in Hólar have been an instructive time but challenging. No matter what goes on, you always have to keep your head and continue: Have the ambition to do better, » says Arney Ólöf Arnardóttir, who got the Morgunbladid this time. These prizes were awarded on behalf of the paper by those who write where the ten students had come out on the Hólar Skeiðvöllur on their horses in one row. Part of the agenda there was that the chairman of the Association of Trainers, Sylvia Sigurbjörnsdóttir, brought students to the blue jacket of the company, which they are now joining by virtue of their education.
« I did not expect this now. Here have been many great guys who are talented horses and can go a long way, » said Arney Ólöf when she was announced that she received the sought -after Morgunbladid, which is a beautifully decorated prize shield. This is truly a sought after artifacts, but so much fun that Arney’s father, Örn Þorleifsson (1938-2017), a farmer in Húsey in Fljótsdalshérað, also received the award of Morgunblaðið, when they were awarded for the first time in Hvanneyri 69 years ago. The story is therefore in a circle; The father and now the daughter.
« I work for horse riding in the future. The job can be both here at home and abroad. Here in Holar I have had a good foundation and education, » says Arney.
