The Mladinska knjiga Book Management Board: We respect the tradition of Levstik’s awards

The letter of the lord Aleš Berger With regard to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Mladinska knjiga, with the awarding of Levstik awards, published in Delo on Saturday, May 24, we were surprised.

Dear Lord Aleš Berger, As our respected longtime editor of the awarding of Levstik’s awards, you know well and you know for sure that the creators of Levstik’s awards all year are given a special care that all our valued authors, both word and non -word creators, are at the event.

In the year when the Mladinska knjiga celebrates its 80th anniversary, we will dedicate a particular part of the event to the word creators; We will emphasize the importance of the works published in different ways that confirm the highlight of the Mladinska knjiga program for the Slovenian and wider cultural space.

We are firmly standing for the decision of the editorial team of colleagues, which creates Levstik’s awards to make an introductory word in the Levstik awards this year Jelki Reichmanone of the most important book illustrators in Slovenia. With the selection of the central speaker, the creators of Levstik’s awards do not take attention to the remarkable Slovene word creators, who will also receive a word within the event or will be presented in other ways.

To address the visitors of the celebratory event on the 80th anniversary of the Mladinska knjiga dr. Nataša Pirc MusarPresident of the Republic of Slovenia, and the award will be awarded to Levstik’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners dr. Robert Golobthe Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, we are sincerely pleased. We understand the latter as a recognition of the state to our society, the former and current Levstik Award winners and associates, who, in accordance with the highest editorial criteria and exceptional heartiness, created Levstik’s awards and created in the same way today.
