In Ukraine, there are 13 establishments with the status of « Child’s House », where the transformation process has not yet been completed.
This was reported by the Director of the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Yevgeny Gonchar during pressing In « Media Center Ukraine ».
”There are currently 30 establishments that have children with different statuses around the clock.
The status of « Child’s House » still has 13 institutions located in 9 regions of Ukraine – Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Kyiv, Lugansk, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnitsky, Chernihiv regions. These are those establishments for which there was no transformation« , – said Gonchar.
In some of these regions, reform is either ongoing or should start in the near future. However, in others, the process has not yet been moved.
He added that 4 institutions where the children were attached to children’s regional hospitals – in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson and the city of Kiev. In 14 areas, palliative wards work where children receive treatment and rehabilitation.
According to Gonchar, today there are 918 children in orphanages. In addition, 219 children who needed special care evacuated abroad.
