The more remote corners of the world map can lure with lush landscapes, adventures and exotic cultures.
But not all destinations are suitable for spontaneous trips, and in some places increasingly require consideration and necessity.
Exactly that call is now coming from the Danish side in a new message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

With increasing turmoil in certain areas, travelers are now advised to think carefully before booking tickets to Peru and Laos.
For both destinations, non-nutritious stays in specific own should be avoided and the travel desire should be weighed against the risk. The Ministry’s Travel Guide is Ready:
« The risks are so serious that you should have special reasons to visit the area/country. Important business trips and urgent family events can make travelers assess that a visit is needed. »
These things trump the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommendations
In Laos, the Xaisomboun province is causing concern. Behind the dense mountains and green valleys, civilian tensions, and the authorities believe that the situation is so unstable that only emergency needs should get Danes to take the trip there.
In Peru, it is especially the area near the border with Colombia that is considered problematic.
Here, violent crime poses a real threat to travelers, and the authorities believe that the level of security is unacceptable for ordinary trips.
The Ministry’s assessment is essential for both areas:
« It should only be important business trips and urgent family events that should be able to get Danes to find it necessary to travel there. »
Thus, despite the two countries’ many cultural and scenic attractions, the situation currently limits the carefree curiosity.
