The Minecraft film probably leaves everyone behind

You don’t have to be a clairvoyant to know that from this week there is no way « A Minecraft Movie » leads past. The cube-shaped gaming world triggered a real hype after the game was published in 2011. Therefore, numerous kids and teenagers will probably storm into the cinemas to experience the adventure for an outsider group that has ended up in the Minecraft world.

The film with Jack Black, Jason Momoa and Danielle Brooks in the leading roles, unlike the German neighbors, is released from the age of six. Warner Bros., of course, hopes to find a similar interest as the Super Mario film recently: This game film adapted in 2023 to far more than a billion US dollars and has so far been the fifth most fifth film of the decade.

Meanwhile, two Luxembourg co -productions vie for the favor of the older or at least more mature audience. On the one hand the biopic « Fanon »: It tells the story of the martinique psychiatrist Frantz Fanon, who took over the management of the psychiatric clinic in Blida in Algerian in 1953 and was released three years later due to his collaboration with the Front de Libération Nationale (FLN). Co -production number two is the thriller « La Mort Viceendra »in which Marc Limpach can be seen in one of the leading roles.

The Drama of director Mohammad Rasoulof Is about a family that threatens to break apart during the Iranian protests in 2022. Head of Family Iman (Missagh Zareh) is a judge and must sign death sentences, which is displeased by his daughters, especially student Rezvan (Mahsa Rostami) and finally leads to disaster.

The international film series is supplemented by the comedy, among other things « Le Routard »who puts a cinematic and, above all, humorous monument to the travel guide of the same name: Yann (Hakim Jemili) dreams of distant countries and can be hired as a travel journalist, who is supposed to put 40 addresses in Marrakech. But the big dream gets to the nightmare, because Yann has no idea about you: from traveling.

And last but not least: the Norwegian-Belgian animated film « Valemon La Légende de l’ours Blanc « that tells of the girls’ girl Liv and the title -giving polar bears based on Scandinavian legends.
