Púchov. The House of Culture in Púchov is empty and without cultural life for almost two decades.
In 2003, Makyta sold it to private hands, and during this period it became a burden that disrupts the public space in the city center.
In the past, several efforts of the city have been created to buy the building, but all were unsuccessful. Today, the question of buying the building was re -opened.

« We have registered a public offer or advertisement through social networks that it is an object for sale, » said Mayor Púchova Katarína Heneková.
On the Internet, it is currently really an advertisement for the sale of the House of Culture as a commercial space, or a suitable investment opportunity with multiple use, without reporting the purchase price.
Started to negotiate
Two months ago, they started dialogue through lawyers with the owner. The city had its own expert opinion and is currently waiting for its outcome.
« We have long ago joined the negotiations, I addressed the owner about two years ago. However, the meeting did not take place despite our efforts. I would certainly like to meet him and discuss the possibilities of buying, » she added.
The owner of the building is, according to the letter of ownership, the company of reality – rental houses, AS, based in Bánovce nad Bebravou.

Years of dilapidation
The city is interested in buying the building even though it will require extensive and costly reconstruction.
« For several years, the current owner has been in a very bad condition. Basically, it is only kept alive. Nothing is operated or realized in the bowels of the building itself, » Henekova said, saying that the only operation of the hospitality is from the side of the building.
