The Market Inspectorate found irregularities, undisciplined markets could be closed, Risteski said.
Market Inspectorate teams have found more irregularities in the controls in the marketers of retailers, and there may be penalties with closing markets, Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor Marjan Risteski said in Prilep today.
-There are about 50 teams of the Market Inspectorate on the ground. Markets, pharmacies, tobacco-trafics are controlled, wherever it is sold in retail. More irregularities have been found. There are irregularities in marking reduced products, when determining margins, prices, accounting records … Next week there will be penalties for the most undisciplined, and it is not excluded that some markets are closed, which is one of the latest measures in the Trade Law – Risteski said.
Next week, the Inspectorate will control all distributors and larger importers in the country. The Commission for Protection of Competition is working to gather evidence of the announcement of the so -called « cartel association ».
– The Commission for Protection of Competition is doing its job professionally and if they find such association, there will be penalties provided for by the Law on Consumer Protection – said Risteski.
Risteski expects government measures to produce results.
– The measures and decisions have been made to protect the standard of living of the citizens. The measures cover 102 groups of products or about1 200 products. Traders must be learned to be disciplined, to respect the measures for citizens. As the Ministry of Economy and Labor and as a State Market Inspection, where we will discover inconsistencies in decisions that violate citizens' rights, they will be rigorously punished – said Risteski.
