Meeting with Interior Minister Pance Toskovski today ends the march of the families of the victims at the Pulse discotheque in Skopje,
Interior Minister Pance Toskovski expressed confidence that justice in this case must have « if we want to have a normal state », pointing out that in the interest of the investigation there is no further details at this time. The minister, among other things, pointed out that the case has so far been the current minister, current director of the SSO and incumbent mayor, after previously the families of the victims called for responsibility and non -selective justice.
Prior to the meeting, Toskovski apologized to the families of the victims for not receiving them so far, but, as he said, some of the parents had already discussed.
– Please sit down to talk and remove politics aside. I am ready to talk about all the things that interest you, not today, not yesterday, but all year long, if you want to talk about what we need to talk about. I apologize for not receiving you so far, I have received part of you, I have talked to some of you, I have not talked to you all, but sorry from the bottom of your soul about it – said Toskovski.
The march began in front of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, where some of the families of the victims met with the public prosecutor and the team of prosecutors conducting the investigation of the fire, then continued in front of the legislature, where they called for responsibility and resignations from lawmakers. In front of the legislature, they met with MPs from Levica and SDSM. MPs Boris Krmov and Jovana Mojsoska first came out, followed by SDSM lawmakers, after which they had a conversation with opposition leader Venko Filipce.
VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group co-ordinator Nikola Micevski, at the 46th parliamentary session to discuss the interpellation for Minister Pance Toskovski, informed that Minister Toskovski would receive the families of the events in the fire, after which they were in front of the Ministry of Interior.
Some of the families, earlier, entered the Public Prosecutor’s Office building, where a call for a meeting with the State Prosecutor and the prosecutors who were conducting cases of the case was made yesterday, after which the Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement that they had informed the relatives of the current investigation and answered their questions.
– Answering all questions and dilemmas of the deceased, prosecutors assured them that the investigation was comprehensive and all aspects of possible responsibility for the tragic event are taken into account. The families were also announced by the dynamics of the forthcoming interrogations of the damaged as the next stage of the investigative process – the prosecution said in a statement.
They say the prosecution continues to take intensive actions of interrogations and forensics, most of which are expected in the next few days.
« Maximum capacities of all investigative authorities are engaged in the investigation and dozens of experts from different fields are involved, » the PPO added.
At the same time, the Prosecutor’s Office also made an open call to all citizens with personal testimonies, information or evidence related to the work of the Pulse Club and the related companies, as well as for the competent institutions, to share through a specially prepared form available on the prosecution website (www.jorm.gov.mk).
